Google Maps: Traffic Congestion through Smart Traffic Lights

In a bid to tackle the persistent traffic congestion and delays plaguing the roads and streets of Greece, Google Maps has stepped forward with an ambitious project that aims to regulate traffic with the use of smart traffic lights. The initiative, set to be launched in the region of Ática, is a collaborative effort between Google and the local government.

Additionally, this collaborative project is set to enhance Google Maps’ estimated arrival times and alternative route suggestions. This improvement will undoubtedly benefit drivers navigating through Ática, the most populous region in Greece, with 3.8 out of the country’s 10.64 million inhabitants.
